My brother is a resident at West Side House and I cannot say enough about the staff. The CNA staff is outstanding, nurses are great and EVERYONE from Maintenance to Laundry have a kind word and positive interaction with both me and my brother. I visit every other day so I am able to see your staff on a very regular basis. You have an extraordinary staff and it is not an easy environment to work in. I wanted to let you know that you employ some very special people and hope you recognize that.

Dear Brandon Woods Staff,
I want to share with you the outstanding attention and care my father received on 2 South. I cannot begin to say enough about Ms. Susan Plante and her staff. My father came to Brandon Woods from South Coast Hospital Group at 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2013. From the moment he arrived, he was cared for, not treated but truly cared for. This made a huge difference for him and for me, his only child, as he entered into the process of passing. When Ms. Plante came on duty Monday morning, she sought me out as soon as I came onto the unit to see my dad. She held a conference with me in private to prepare me for the transitions my dad would be making and how she and her staff would support this to ensure care and comfort as was my dad's wish. We had one small bump in the road with his care on the evening shift and Ms. Plante addressed it immediately the next morning. We have had nothing but wonderful care not only for my dad, but for me as well. When things got more challenging for him the nurses made sure more medication was approved by Dr. Torres. The nursing assistants kept him clean and comfortable. I have been here every day and have seen the high level of quality care not only for my dad, but others around him.To see the passion and compassion for the residents is wonderful.

The social worker Brenda was also outstanding, even coming to visit my dad every day. She was very supportive of me as well. I am so very grateful for the time and talents of this amazing staff. I thought it was important for you to be aware of this very positive experience we had in your facility. Most people will let you know about the bad, but it is so important that you know about the good too.

To All the Staff,
Thank you very much for the great care my husband, John Meyers, received while in your establishment. I will forever be grateful to all of you. I want to say a Thank You to the hospice people also, at least at Blaire House. When John said "ouch" the staff all stopped and went and found out why he said "ouch."

To the Social Worker at Blaire House - I want to say Thank You also for your compassion to John and I'm sorry for the problems I gave you. If John was here he would say Thank you to all of you for the care he got. I know he would have. Thanks again to all of the staff on 2 West, the Social Services Department and the Hospice people!

Dear Mr. Romano,
I am writing this note to express my sincerest gratitude for having been blessed with your employee, Eva Jansson. Eva attends a program at the Fairhaven Council on Aging on the first Tuesday of the month, which we call this Single Senior Supper Club. It is an event where approximately fifty single / widowed seniors get together to share a meal in the good company of others. Eva provides the group with all the fixings for fabulous Ice Cream Sundaes and actually makes them to each individuals liking. She is a wonderful young woman and the seniors look forward to seeing her because she not only brings ice cream, but the beautiful gift of herself as well.

On behalf of the Single Senior Supper Club, I thank you for allowing Eva to do this wonderful event for us. We greatly appreciate her time and your donation.

Dear Mr. Picone and Mr. Romano,
I would like to let you know of our positive experience at the Assisted Living Residence in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. My mother, Edna Stevenson, was a resident from November 2011 to July 2013.From the initial meeting with Rich Williams to the final day of occupancy, and even after my mother moved out, Rich was warm, friendly, caring and professional. I always felt his goal was to provide the best and necessary care for my mother, as well be a big support to me as the primary supporting family member.He made the move in, transition for my mother and changes in the level of care necessary throughout her time there a priority. Rich always returned any phone calls or emails promptly, always addressing my specific concerns.

I also know that he worked "after hours" often to participate in the special activities or meet with family members. Rich is very involved in the daily activities at Blaire House which can not be said about other directors.

I feel the other key staff members, Karen, Jeanne and Tracy worked well as a team in support of the residents. They were also very helpful with any questions about residents needs or activities. The CNAs insured that my specific requests for my mother's care were completed and many of them took extra time to be company to my mom, play music and sing and style her hair, which she loved. These little things meant so much to her and me.

I would highly recommend Blaire House Assisted Living to others. I am so sorry my mom could not remain as a resident there.
